Cricket Camaraderie within Vistaprint Bhiwandi
Author: Stephanie Berenson
What says camaraderie more than a team-building game of cricket? Sunil Parekh (Plant HR) and Paresh Kadam (Plant Admin) of Vistaprint Bhiwandi arranged the external office event to practice team-building skills, enjoy a game of cricket, and create some friendly competition.
The Vistaprint Premier League consists of four teams including every employee of the plant. Competition and excitement increased leading up to game day with players creating team names and strategizing on how to win during lunch and coffee breaks. Each team member received team stickers to wear on their T-shirts and had a chance to win League specific trophies.
The playing grounds were set up outside of the plant using traditional cricketing rules and boundaries. Two separate matches took place, knocking out the losing teams and advancing the winners into the finals. The first game was played between the Vista Knightriders and the Vista Warriors with the Vista Knightriders coming in as victorious. In the second game the Vista Indians quickly defeated the Vista Challengers.
Before the final cricket game began between the Vista Knightriders and the Vista Indians, players and event managers indulged in delicious Samosas and soft drinks.
The Vista Indians defeated the Vista Knightriders in an exciting match before the completion of 6 overs. Man of the Match, Man of the Series, Best Batsman, Best Bowler, Best Fielder, and Winning Team trophies were handed out, and a fun and exciting day came to a close.
